Wade Dykes — 35 years of aviation and defense experience.

Our founder served in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm with the 1st Cavalry Division. That experience instilled a mission-first mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to operate under pressure — principles that define how WingWorx Geospatial approaches every project today.

Military and aviation operations demand precision, planning, and strict adherence to protocol. Those same standards apply to our flight operations, data processing, and client deliverables.

After active duty, Wade spent over three decades in defense electronics, aviation systems, and autonomous drone technology — including work with Lockheed Martin, RPS Defense, and Shield AI. His career spans sensor integration, signal processing, and AI-enabled unmanned systems, including direct experience with the MQ-9 Reaper platform. These are the same core technologies that power modern aerial LiDAR, photogrammetry, and geospatial data acquisition.

That deep technical foundation means we do not simply operate drones. We understand the physics of the sensors, the mathematics of the processing pipelines, the autonomy stacks that guide them, and the engineering requirements of the deliverables.

WingWorx Geospatial is FAA Part 107 certified and experienced operating in some of the most complex airspace in the United States — including DFW Class B and around multiple regional airports across North Texas. We coordinate with air traffic control, file NOTAMs when required, and maintain strict operational safety standards.

Our founder holds an FAA Private Pilot certificate in addition to his Part 107 Remote Pilot certification — bringing manned aviation experience and discipline to every unmanned aerial survey operation.

Our aviation background means we speak the language of controllers, understand sectional charts and TFRs, and know how to get missions flown safely and legally — even in challenging airspace environments.
