Question 1

How much does drone mapping cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on site size, deliverables, and accuracy requirements. Most projects are quoted per project after a short scoping call. Request a quote and we typically respond within one business day.

Question 2

How accurate is your data?

Accepted Answer

With RTK/PPK positioning and ground control points, our mapping typically achieves centimeter-level accuracy. We include an accuracy report with checkpoint results on survey-grade deliverables.

Question 3

How fast will I get my data?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround depends on project size. Sites up to about 100 acres are typically delivered within a few business days after the flight. Large tracts, such as 1,000+ acre LiDAR or survey-grade projects, can take 2 to 3 weeks. Rush delivery is available.

Question 4

What file formats do you deliver?

Accepted Answer

Orthomosaics (GeoTIFF), LiDAR point clouds (LAS/LAZ), DSM/DTM, contours, and 3D models, delivered in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or your specified format and coordinate system.

Question 5

Are you licensed surveyors?

Accepted Answer

We provide aerial data collection and mapping. Our data supports licensed surveyors and engineers, and we work alongside them on projects that require sealed surveys.

Question 6

Are you FAA certified and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All our pilots hold FAA Part 107 certification, and WingWorx Geospatial is fully insured. We are experienced flying in DFW Class B airspace and around regional airports.

Question 7

Can you fly near airports?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We obtain FAA airspace authorizations through LAANC or FAA DroneZone and coordinate with air traffic control when required.

Question 8

What happens if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

We monitor weather closely and reschedule at no charge when wind, rain, or low clouds would affect safety or data quality.

Question 9

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We are based in North Texas and serve the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, including Collin, Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Rockwall, and Hunt Counties. We also take projects nationwide.

Question 10

Is WingWorx Geospatial veteran-owned?

Accepted Answer
